I REACHED PAYOUT ON MYVOICE!

Yep! – I finally reached payout on MyVoice. I really like doing their surveys (even above Pinecone Research surveys); they’re relatively short, the rewards per survey are reasonable, plus you get a small amount of points even if you don’t qualify. The frequency of surveys I receive aren’t that predictable. One week, I get a handful. Other week, I get one or nothing.

Took a while to reach payout (£20 voucher). I logged in and checked my history and the last time I cashed out with them before this one was Feb ’09. The fact that I qualify for most of the surveys they send me, that they’re enjoyable and fairly short makes the time to reach cashout less of a big deal (unlike GlobalTestMarket for which I’m increasingly finding irritating).

Will write a detailed review about MyVoice in time.

I’M TAKING PART IN A FOCUS GROUP THIS WEEK!

For anyone who doesn’t know, a focus group is usually a face-to-face survey where you’re invited to a location (or an interviewer comes to your home) to share your opinion on something. Could be about a website, a new product, whatever. Your responses are recorded, can last from 45 minutes to a whole day and pays REALLY well. Sometimes, you do them on a one-on-one basis (just you and the interviewer) and other times, you’re part of a group.

The few focus groups I’ve been to have been really cool. Far from boring. Wish I could do more.

Haven’t taken part in one in about a year. I find them difficult to qualify for. So I was kinda chuffed to get this one! I almost didn’t pick up the phone when the company rang as I tend not to pick up numbers I don’t recognise. Thank God I did this time! I’m getting paid £60 for a couple of hours. Could seriously do with the money, plus it’ll go some way to upping my survey total for the year.

HAPPY…

I’m happy things are picking up a bit. My survey updates were originally being written on my main make-money-online blog, but I decided to set up a separate blog (and domain) for it this year. I was starting to think maybe that wasn’t such a cute move after all and that perhaps my personal target of £350 was a touch too realistic. The recession’s hit everybody including survey sites.

If you’re gonna get into doing surveys for pay, recession or not, it’s best to regard it as a very part-time income; part of a diverse online income basket.

That's awesome, I haven't done any of those kind of groups yet but they do seem like fun. My problem lately is time. I'm so limited in it. :(

    Hi TriNi,

Yes, they can be a lot of fun – very enjoyable. It's something worth looking into round your side of the pond.

Time. Hope you're able to eek out a bit of it for yourself – just to chill out.

    Take care, hun…
