The focus group session was lovely, dah-ling! Really enjoyed it. I’m not at liberty to say what company it was about, but it was really interesting. It’s also nice to know companies are interested in what you’ve got to say; I mean, after all, we’re the ones that make money for them!

At the session, there were a couple of trays of quartered sandwiches and drinks (no alcohol, of course!) for us to help ourselves to.

The person who lead it was friendly, professional and down to earth, so before I knew it, the two hours were up. Very painless way to earn some bob. :-)

I’m £55 richer for it. Couldn’t have come at a better time, I’m telling you.

The only slightly negative thing I would say is that I only learnt the session was going to be recorded in the session itself. I don’t recall being told any time before that. I would have preferred being informed in advance (before applying for the opportunity). Maybe I was told and don’t remember. Maybe it was somewhere in the small print. Anyway, I really don’t mind being recorded so it wasn’t much of a problem. In any case, I can completely understand why recording was necessary as there are so many things said by different people over a period of time.

The company I got the opportunity through is known as Focus4People in case you’re interested in registering.

If they didnt inform you about the recording, they were breaching Market Research Society terms of practice. I would only register with reputable firms to take part in market research, in the UK the best is Saros.

    ‘ello :-)

The recording might have been something they mentioned via email which I overlooked. As I’m not 100% sure, I can’t assume they definitely didn’t. I’d like to think they did and I just didn’t notice.

They did come across quite professional and everything ran smoothly. I’m with Saros and both companies aren’t too unlike each other in my view (and experience).

I love Saros, but the thing is, as far as I’m aware, you can only apply for a group if you haven’t participated in a session with any company in the last 6 months (or is it 3?), or are not due to take part in one.

    Thanks for passing by.

    Take care…
